On March 13, 2014 was held discussion with presidential candidates with Clara Eugenia López, from the Democratic Pole, Marta Lucia Ramirez from the Conservative Party and Oscar Ivan Zuluaga from the Democratic Center. The event organized by the Colombian British Chamber of Commerce, Eurochambers and Hotels Royal, where the three candidates made a brief introduction of the policy that they apply in the government on Foreign Investment.
In a meeting with British Prime Minister, David Cameron, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, President Juan Manuel Santos ask to dismiss visas for Colombians who visit the UK. Cameron did not give an answer, however he assured that the possibility will be stuedied within the government. The dismissal of this requirement would ease investment and promote trade between Colombia and the United Kingdom, offering more advantages to the Trade Agreement operating since August 2013.
