The Colombian British Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the workshop " High Impact Presentations" instructed by the economist Oscar Hernández Duque and that will take place the 25th and 26th of April.During this workshop you will learn how to structure and define the goals of a presentation, develop a central theme, classify the audience, talk to the audience with facts and examples, encourage the audience to take action and learn how to sell an idea. 


On March 13, 2014 was held discussion with presidential candidates with Clara Eugenia López, from the Democratic Pole, Marta Lucia Ramirez from the Conservative Party and Oscar Ivan Zuluaga from the Democratic Center. The event organized by the Colombian British Chamber of Commerce, Eurochambers and Hotels Royal, where the three candidates made a brief introduction of the policy that they apply in the government on Foreign Investment.

The Colombian British Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the publication of the first Corporate Social responsibility - CSR Book taht recognizes the top 30 Social Responsibility programmes in Colombia which have participated in the LAZOS award on its 7 years. The programmes published on the book have been awarded by having the best environmental practices and community support programs, uin addition to other non winners that deserve special recognition for the high impact of their programs in Colombia. The book includes interviews with the presidents of the winning companies and a detailed summary of the programs.





For the second consecutive year the British-Colombian Chamber of Commerce and Eurocámaras carried out the program Learn from the Masters Interviews with the participation of the Finance Vice Minister, Mr. Andrés Restrepo. The Vice Minister talked about the economic outlook for Columbia in 2014, focusing on macroeconomic politics and the path that his Ministry is following.


In a meeting with British Prime Minister, David Cameron, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, President Juan Manuel Santos ask to dismiss visas for Colombians who visit the UK. Cameron did not give an answer, however he assured that the possibility will be stuedied within the government. The dismissal of this requirement would ease investment and promote trade between Colombia and the United Kingdom, offering more advantages to the Trade Agreement operating since August 2013.

The Colombian British Chamber of commerce opens the International Legal English Course, a 96 hours course designed to improve language skills for the legal environment. The course is open for General Managers, Area Managers and Lawyers with the need of a complete proficiency of the language to write and read contracts, for labor law, environmental law, corporate governance, etc.
